Conflict 3/8

I lost all of my files this week, so when I started my project again I decided to start with what my main argument about conflict was going to be- gentrification vs. reinvigoration.

In the Morning Call article I read, the flatiron building was described as the “gateway to South Bethlehem”, which could be interpreted as bringing a new life to South Bethlehem, or as potentially pushing out residents to make room for new developments. Because of this, I drew the buildings surrounding the Flatiron building to show their relationship to it, as well as the roads outlining the entryway of the building, showing how the building is interpreted as a “gateway”.
